Kenne Bell’s Boost-A-Pump performs a reasonably simple task. It spins the fuel pump faster so that it moves more fuel. This may seem like torturing the fuel pump motor, but as KB points out, the simple DC motors in fuel pumps hardly seem to mind. KB has never heard of a pump that failed from increased current delivered by a BAP, and it’s been selling them for 20 years. This one is hooked up to the fuel bench’s BAP test station, where input and output amperage and voltages can be checked or adjusted.
