We chose to install the latest alignment support, which slips over the factory studs. Use removable Loctite and tighten each nut evenly until the unit snugs on the neoprene pad against the floorpan. Do not overtighten it as the soft pad should allow a bit of movement and dampen drivetrain noise. At this point, you should have the transmission jack in place, all the transmission wires re-attached, and the tranny installed. Raise the transmission until the shifter box shaft can be seated in the retainer pocket, adjust the slide mechanism rearward until the cut-out butts against the shoulder, then add the retaining cap and tighten it with a �-inch wrench.
