Here is a look at the Three-Valve 4.6 DynoMax 3-inch after-cat system with its 4-inch stainless-steel-tipped Ultra Flo Bullet mufflers (right) and the heavier, restrictive factory tail pipes. Notice how dramatically different the curvature is between the two systems? The factory setup has far too many bends--especially in the over-the-axle tubing. Gases actually travel backward slightly (toward the front of the car) before being channeled toward to the mufflers.
