With just a handful of modifications topped with Jon Lund's custom tuning, the Trinity 5.8 approached 800 rwhp with the stock supercharger. As you can see, boost didn't increase much but the engine efficiency improved greatly. The final gains with the bolt-ons and fuel resulted in gains just shy of 200 hp and 200 lb-ft. How awesome is that?

Because of inclimate weather, there was no time to make baseline runs at the dragstrip. As such, the Evolution '13 GT500 went right from the dealership to the shop's in-house Mustang Dyno. In our experience, these loaded dynos produce more conservative numbers than an inertia dyno. However, Evo has its Mustang calibrated to approximate the numbers from the popular inertia dyno.

With just a few parts and some tuning the Trinity-powered '13 GT500 gained over 170 horsepower and 179 lb-ft at the wheels on 93-octane street fuel.

Stepping up to Shell's vaunted, 116-octane unleaded URT race fuel allowed for a more aggressive tune from Jon Lund. This change was good for an additional 19.08 rwhp and 2.07 lb-ft of rear-wheel torque.
