SVT says the cylinder of tungsten weight stuffed into almost every 5.8 crankshaft's first counterweight, as seen here, will stay in place without welding it in place. One reason the team is sure is that force-monitoring equipment in the factory keeps tabs on the tungsten's press-in process.
