MGW Shelby GT500 Shifter Install
|
Fasteners that connect the transmission's front support arms to the main shifter body are supplied, as is blue Loctite, which must be used when the bolts are installed. The shifter's "throw" also is set at this time. Setting throw involves making a series of turns with the shifter's linkage. Big Steve went for three turns for PVT. (Between three to six turns yields the best blend of short throws and smooth shifts.) Once throw is set, Matt reinstalls the shoulder bolt and lock nut, and heads for the Shelby's cockpit to finish the job. View Related Article
