By the time of our initial visit to MCS, ace bodyman Dwight Jorah had already cut out and replaced the infected area on the roof's rear edge. The rotted piece he removed is sitting above the now-invisible metal patch. The body filler on the roof is just a thin skin to facilitate perfectly leveling the surface.
