Cylinder Head Guide For Your Street Stang - Heads Of The Class - Street Head Guide
Trick Flow Specialties
The term "Twisted Wedge" is pretty much known by almost anyone who owns or has owned a 5.0-powered, Fox-body Mustang. Twisted Wedge refers to the patented combustion-chamber design in Trick Flow's aluminum heads, which moves each valve over the center of the cylinder bores for optimum valve angle, combustion chamber shape, and, ultimately, increased midrange and top-end power (that doesn't sacrifice bottom-end torque). Twisted Wedge Street heads (PN TFS-51400002 thru 00004; 61cc chamber; 2.02-inch intake valve; $1,249.95) are 50-state-emissions-legal, and feature 170cc intake-port volume (66cc exhaust), 2.02-inch intake/1.60-inch exhaust valves, 1.47-inch OD (single) or 1.46-inch OD (double) valvesprings, chrome-moly retainers, Viton seals and ARP rocker-arm studs. As far as we know, Trick Flow's Twisted Wedge heads are the only castings with 2.02-inch intake valves that can be used with the stock pistons in most 5.0-liter short-blocks. View Related Article
