The kit's door bars are available only as fixed-but-removable pieces. Both door bars can be removed from the car quickly, as the task involves only five bolts. The door bars provide chassis stiffening and safety when installed, and unrestricted access to the front seats when removed. Maximum Motorsports notes that the S197 door bars may interfere with some aftermarket seats, but we didn't experience any problems or fitment issues with the robustly padded Saleen seats in our project 'Stang.
