Cobra Mustang Temperature And Air Sensor
With no hope of getting enough air under a stock Mustang hood to feed a Mammoth kit a full suction, nor room to package a correspondingly huge air filter, Kenne Bell turned the intake pipe down and through the sheetmetal to take air from under the driver-side front fender. The relocated stock mass air electrionics and intake air temperature senor show here as well.

Cobra Mustang Supercharger
Mustang Cobras breathe from the passenger side, as does Kenne Bell's standard Cobra kit. However, the air-hungry Mammoth kit needs more than the crowded passenger side of the Cobra engine compartment can provide, so its culvert-like intake pipe is routed on the driver side. This requires moving the battery to the passenger side, which gives us a good view of the 2.8H supercharger-one of Kenne Bell's high-boost specialists.

Cobra Mustang Engine
Jim Bell likese to point out that a supercharger is supposed to sit atop the engine where all your buddies can see it. Such packaging is a practical requirement with the screw-type blower, but we have to admit that his sentiment makes perfect hot-rodding sense.

Cobra Mustang Supercharger And Intake
With the larger supercharger and relocatd intake, Kenne Bell took the opportunity to remount the bypass valve and tubing for vastly improved service-ability and access to the valet function. The wrench-operated valet function holds the bypass valve open so no boost builds; the valve normally requires no service, but it still helps to have it in the open should something get bumped or go amiss. All Mammoth inlets sport Mammoth and Kenne Bell nameplates.
