On the left is the stock 4.6 crank-balancer bolt. The bolt on the right is about a quarter-inch longer, and it's a must-have piece for installing the March underdrive pulley. The longer bolt is used to reach the recessed threads in the crank snout and helps walk the pulley onto the crank. Once this bolt is bottomed out and the balancer is seated, Dan removes it in favor of the shorter OEM crank fastener, which is given a coat of Loctite before it's threaded down and torqued to 60 lb-ft. View Related Article
