1989 Mustang LX Fuel Pressure Regulator Install
|
We decided to go with a fuel pressure setting of 39 psi, and the dyno showed that the air/fuel ratio was a bit leaner than it was with the stock regulator in place. Making pressure adjustments is simple and is done in seconds with an Allen wrench and a deep socket for tightening down the regulator's jam nut once the pressure has been set. Turning the screw clockwise raises fuel pressure and counterclockwise lowers it. It's a good idea to plumb a fuel-pressure gauge somewhere into system to ensure accurate adjustments are made.
