We'll start at the rear and work our way to the front. Since we need to replace the anemic four-cylinder, 7.5-inch rearend, we will go all the way to the top with a Currie 9-inch rear. We'll have it stuffed with 4.30 gears since we'll be running a TTC-Tremec T56 six-speed transmission. If there were ever a mechanical work of art, the Currie 9-inch fits the bill nicely, especially with Baer brakes at each end. Baer sent a Touring brake kit for a Ford Torino 9-inch to Currie so it could be fitted prior to Currie sending the rear to us for installation. Baer's Touring line of brake kits feature 12-inch drilled and grooved rotors and PBR calipers.
