The mass air meter adapter plate is where the air filter is attached. As we alluded to earlier, we assumed the filter would be one of the last parts to be installed. The filter is a tight fit when installed into the airbox with the meter already in place, as shown here. You can install it, but we suggest you put the filter in the box first, then attach the filter to the mass air meter adapter before putting the entire unit in the car. View Related Article
