The old lower control arms are removed next, along with the old South Side relocation brackets that were welded on. Though Steve uses a screw jack to support the arm and remove the spring, you may wish to unbolt the bottom of the shock for more rear-axle travel, which allows the spring to come out more easily before control arm removal.
