The final 1/0 cable run will be from the opposite solenoid lug to the starter assembly. After crimping, the proper terminal on the cable is attached here. The cable routing can be either inside or outside the car, though on Project Real Street we'll leave the cable inside to prevent undercar clutter. Installing the solenoid in the trunk means this starter cable will be "hot" only during engine cranking and dead the rest of the time. This setup is much safer in case of vehicle damage or wear, since the cable will not be electrically live all the time. View Related Article
