Front End Alignments Alignment Rack

The foundation of the alignment rack is a short-rise lift that places the car at a comfortable working height. The front tires sit on turntables so they can be steered while measurements are taken. Normally, all settings are done with the steering centered, then camber is checked at 20 degrees of steering lock. The hydraulic jacks in the center of the rack are for raising the vehicle to remove weight from the tires while adjustments are made. View Related Article
