306 & 347 Engine Comparison: Is A Bigger Engine A Better Engine?
After removing the 306 from the dyno, we set to work dismantling the test motor in order to swap the performance components onto the 347 short-block. It should be noted here that the 306/347 test did have one variable that obviously skewed the test results somewhat. In building the short-blocks, we had to make a choice between running the same flat-top piston or running different piston configurations in order to maintain the same static compression ratio.
