5.0 Engine Buildup
Porting your cylinder heads (and intake manifold) will let you use less boost or nitrous to get to the 450hp plateau and will increase engine durability. Shown here is an Avenger cylinder head that was ported for research & development purposes. This is an example of mild-to-wild porting—from street-oriented (left) to all-out race (right). Be aware that a too-big port will cause a loss of low-end torque.
