With a 650hp goal, Raybestos and Roush decided the engine needed to be a little more stout than stock. Performance insurance came in the form of a Ford Racing Aluminator engine with Mahle forged pistons and Manley H-beam rods. To make sure laziness wouldn't be part of the car's personality, though, the 11.0:1 compression Aluminator was chosen instead of the low-compression offering. To help achieve that 650 horsepower, a Roush R2300 TVS supercharger was mounted atop the Aluminator 5.0 engine. Though final power and boost numbers haven't been released as of yet, the recipe for 650 hp is in place. View Related Article
