Under the Cobra R hood is a Fastlane Motorsports-built 284ci Four-Valve with an iron '03 Cobra block, a forged crank, Eagle H-Beam conecting rods, and CP forged pistons. The heads were treated to a Fastlane Stage 3 port and polish before dropping them on the short-block. The intake is an '01 Cobra manifold, which plays host to roughly 20 pounds of boost when Steve hammers down on the loud pedal. The turbo kit is from HP Performance, and boasts twin 57mm Garrett turbochargers and an air-to-air intercooler behind the bumper. Before it left Fastlane Motorsports, the combo was good for 889 hp and 928 lb-ft of torque--enough to turn the car's previous T56 and aluminum driveshaft into desk art.
