Paul has his plenty of his...

Paul has his plenty of his own ideas and demon tweaks scattered throughout his racer. Remote reservoir JRZ shocks are one such favorite. Interestingly, Paul's car has no rear swaybar as he relies on spring and shock tuning to handle to keep the rearend under control.

Hmmm, even Paul runs the robust...

Hmmm, even Paul runs the robust Maximum Motorsport caster/camber plates. The scratched and chipped paint attest to the constant chassis changes required when tuning a road racer to various tracks and conditions.

Euphemistically labeled "rewards...

Euphemistically labeled "rewards weight," this stack of barbell iron is what happens in World Challenge when you keep winning races. At season's end Paul's racer needed to scale 3,432 pounds empty per the rules, or 3,638 pounds as it came off the track with Paul in it with a 20 -pound safety margin. At least the penalty weight goes low in the chassis.

With no need for sound system...

With no need for sound system or HVAC controls, the center console in the 302S mounts the racer's few electrical necessities. The precise Tiger Racing built all-metal shift mechanism attaches to a Tremec T6060 gearbox from the Shelby GT500, the one major powertrain change in the 302S.

Like many racers, Paul uses...

Like many racers, Paul uses the AiM Sports MXL datalogger/dashboard for all his primary instrumentation needs. It worked fine mounted on the steering column, but we might be tempted to attach it atop the dash like a poor man's heads up display. But then, we're giraffe tall and can see over it.

There's nothing trick inside...

There's nothing trick inside a Boss 302S driver door, other than to note deleting weight sometimes costs nothing. The red ring and cable arrangement is the interior door latch mechanism.
