"I built a 10.5 car because it is such an exciting class to race and watch," Jason says. He passes on this bit of advice for anyone reading this and hoping to follow in his tire tracks. "Stick with the plan," Jason says. He's seen too many guys sell cars mid-build because they run out of money or patience. "Build what you can afford and enjoy it," Jason adds. If you follow Jason's advice, you too can spray down the house.

Jason's looking for 8s with the coupe, and with this kind of firepower, that digit is well within the realm of possibility. A 302-based Dart block coming in at 384 cubic inches, On the Bumper Performance put together the big little man using Trick Flow R heads, an Edelbrock Super Victor intake, and a Dale Cubic-modified Holley 850 carburetor. As you can see here, the engine featured a Demon carburetor for the photo shoot, but that's the only change from what is seen here. Jason utilizes a Nitrous Express plate system to supply more horsepower than most cars make period.
