"In today's car, the rings around the gauges are sort of cut off at 270 degrees. We worked with the engineering and safety team to come up with a solution so those rings go all the way around the gauges," says Senior Designer Robert Gelardi. "We had to come up with a different lens design ... The lenses are now conical, and that might remind you of some of our past Mustangs." Those lenses, along with the beveled, chrome trim, help with the legibility of the retro-style gauges. Meanwhile, the steering wheel now has controls, and they help control the long-awaited Sync system.
