While Big 3's installation manager, Forest Estelle, was at the wheel, he kindly demonstrated a Third gear pull from 1,800 rpm all the way up to 7,500 revs. There were no flat spots in the blown 5.0 liter's response-just grin-inducing thrust. I kept thinking Shift! Shift!, but the cams are engineered to rev to that stratospheric height, and the short-block is engineered to survive it. View Related Article
