Nearly every bar was cut from the chassis. A stronger, lighter chrome-moly 'cage, reconstructed at Matukas Motorsports Racecars, was added to meet the latest SFI 25.2 chassis specification. All race cars need protection via a thorough fire-suppression system; Don is a believer in safety and his race car has always had a bar.
