Underhood, the Shelby GT isn't far from stock. The Ford Racing strut-tower brace and cold-air intake are the only clues to the car's improved capabilities. The cold-air, exhaust, and calibration modifications are good for 25 more horsepower and 10 more lb-ft of torque at the crankshaft. Combined with the gearing, these parts make the Shelby feel much quicker.
