With Roots-based blowers running... With Roots-based blowers running additional boost, both combatants have a surfeit of torque, especially the bigger-cube GT 500. The majority of track testing was done on BFG Drag Radials, but the Condor left twin black stripes so far down the strip that it looked like an accident investigation photo. Mickey Thompson ET Streets were tried without much success. Conclusion? The GT 500 cries out for slicks. Typical September Michigan... Typical September Michigan drag-test day necessities: an accurate tire pressure gauge, weather station, a lot of coffee, and donut holes for strength. Personally, I didn't have any of the latter as they weren't from Tim Horton's. [Dale would be kicked out of Canada if he chose Dunkin over Horton! Even though it was a cool,... Karl, Karl, Karl. Paul says... Karl, Karl, Karl. Paul says he handed you a perfectly healthy Cobra for our anticipated grand finale, side-by-side, two-car pan-blur photo, and you went and busted a passenger-side halfshaft right at the launch, ruining our shot. So much for art. I guess we can't blame you, though-multiple drag radial passes weren't likely considered in the original factory specs for Cobra shafts. I'm sure you had fun replacing it.
