Jeff's Mustang GT still has its original engine, but if he puts any more horsepower through it, we're sure he'll need a built short-block. At the time of this writing, the Three-Valve put down 524 hp on the Ramsey's Performance Dynojet, with Dennis Ramsey at the controls of DiabloSport software. Of course, Jeff's Roush boasts Redline Tuning QuickLifts to make it easier to raise and support the hood. "Can't live without those," he says. With the lifts on duty, everyone can see the polished Vortech HO supercharger system with aftercooler, the Snow Performance boost cooler, and the ZEX adjustable nitrous system. Oh, yeah-and the BMR Fabrication strut-tower brace. We can't forget our BMR boys.
The Mustang GT's interior looks like a spaceship with all the gauges and stereo equipment. Jeff relies on a Stewart Warner tachometer and an assortment of Auto Meter gauges to monitor boost, nitrous bottle pressure, fuel pressure, air/fuel, and such. The Roush is also filled with enough stereo equipment to hold a concert in his Plant City, Florida, hometown. At a local car show, we witnessed the entertainment system's power firsthand, and so did a lady who had stopped to watch Pirates of the Caribbean. During a fight scene, two swords clashed and she almost jumped out of her shoes from the sharp clang. There was a wicked-cool, slammed '50s Cadillac custom at that show, but with Jeff's Roush right next to it, we don't think anyone noticed.
Being a racer, Jeff appreciates those who have helped him. To that end, he would like to thank Shane O'Connell at Thee Tint Shop, Matt Maya at Carolina Performance Racing, Ramsey's Performance, Coast to Coast Wheels, Don Dithmer Jr. with Gator Ford for finding the Roush for Jeff, Kevin Boykin, and his wife Jana for "putting up with all the late nights and for supporting me and all my hobbies."
