A classic 5.0 Mustang interior features a Hurst shifter with a vintage T-handle. Other than the factory gauges, Henry has only the road-and the correct line for the next turn-to concentrate on. The World Class T5 has been upgraded with a Ford Racing Performance Parts clutch and pressure-plate assembly.
Stock and still ticking since 1993, Henry's Cobra 5.0 mill was rated from Ford at 235 horses at 4,600 rpm and 280 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm. On the dyno it makes 241 rwhp and 285 lb-ft of torque. Factory installed GT-40 heads and intake, 1.7 Crane rollers, a 65mm throttle body, a Cobra 70mm mass air, 24-lb/hr injectors, and underdrive pulleys help with the power. A K&N air filter, FRPP 1 5/8-inch short-tube headers, a factory H-pipe, and DynoMax Ultraflo mufflers add to the bottom line. While the majority of competition has been done on the road course, the car has gone a best of 13.59/103 (1.99-second short time) elapsed time at the digs. Not bad for a daily driven road-race car.
