Chassis stiffness is improved by the rollbar and FRPP subframe connectors, while Nitto NT555s put it all to the ground.
As maddening as the theft of Matt's '89 must have been, he's obviously made the best of a tough situation. Through deft attention to detail, the '93 has regained its status as a proven show winner, and the racer in Matt assures us there will be plenty of quarter-mile trips once the fresh engine is properly broken in.
Sure, we hear such promises all the time, but we have good reason to think it's more than lip service in this case. You see, Matt has followed his dad's lead into the realm of serious straight-line action, and the two are currently sorting their newly constructed Super Gas '27 Ford Roadster. Common sense tells us testing and optimizing the Mustang's metal is sure to follow, as gearheads such as Matt are never content to simply bench race. Good thing for us all!
Inside, Matt's made his mark with a Florida 5.0 instrument panel and a slathering of Auto Meter Phantom gauges. The silver and black seats are Sparco Torinos, while Huntington Beach, California's Stitchcraft covered the door panels in a matching theme. A Saleen four-point rollbar and five-point harnesses from Crow Enterprises round out the interior accouterments, while the Pro-5.0 shifter protruding through the floor is affixed to a Centerforce-assisted Tremec TKO.
