David Marroquin's street freak is hot on looks and even hotter on the dragstrip. The paint is courtesy of Aaron Peres and his Aaron's Auto Painting and Customizing in Falfurrias, Texas. The Skittles paint scheme includes Pecan Gold, Tangerine, and Candy Apple Red colors. As for go, David has already run deep into the 8-second zone-qualifying number one in the True 10.5 class at The Clash of the Titans with an 8.35 e.t. at more than 167 mph (1.34-second short time). Inside this street car is everything David needs to cruise the boulevard or to whip the snot out of anyone who crosses his path. A Pro Ratchet shifter shifts the Trans King Powerglide. The PTC torque converter stalls to a modest 4,400 rpm before David releases the Trans King tranny brake. The interior also houses Corbeau Forza race buckets; an Auto Meter tachometer; a full brace of Auto Meter Phantom gauges; and a Florida 5.0 gauge pod with a Painless Wiring kit and switch panel.
