AB&T Drivetrain Specialists in Round Rock, Texas, built the Z-spec T5 transmission. It's backed by a Hays clutch.
Patrick handled most of the interior work in his garage. The inside is a mix of salvaged '87 GT parts, custom pieces, and aftermarket goodies, such as the Florida 5.0 dash inserts with Auto Meter gauges.
Patrick was particularly happy to record his first sub-11-second timeslip late last year, but he isn't a regular racer. His car spends far more time on the street than the track. Surely this isn't what the officers in Burton, Texas, had in mind when they put their Mustang pursuit car up for auction. Somewhere in the law-enforcement community, the bile is rising.
