The 622 hp and 516 lb-ft of... The 622 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque (at the rear wheels) under that pretty hood is for real! It's a collaborative effort, of sorts, between Sean Hyland and Paul Faessler. Sean supplied the parts and assembly, and Paul made the thing rip. The engine features a stock 281ci displacement with a Cobra steel crank and forged rods and pistons. The Ford Racing Performance Parts cylinder heads have been given the Stage 2 port job from Sean Hyland Motorsport, and they work with 0.495-inch lift cams. The FRPP manifold works with a Pro-M mass air and a K&N air filter. Vortech's YT-Trim blower makes 20 psi with the 2.75-inch blower pulley through the SHM intercooler. The EEC V processor gets timing and fuel direction through a reprogrammed Autologic chip done at Paul's Automotive Engineering. | 5.0 TECH SPECS | | ENGINE AND DRIVETRAIN | | Block | Stock | | Cylinder Heads | FRPP (ported by SHM) | | Intake Manifold | FRPP | | Camshafts | SHM | | Power Adder | Vortech YT-Trim | | Exhaust | SHM long-tube headers, SHM X-pipe, and MAC mufflers | | Fuel Pump | Bosch | | Fuel Injectors | MSD 50-lb/hr | | Transmission | TTC Tremec TKO five-speed | | Rearend | 8.8 with Moser spool, Moser axles, and 4.10 gears | | ELECTRONICS | | Engine Management | EEC V with Autologic chip (tuned by Paul's Automotive) | | Ignition | MSD DIS-4, ACCEL coils, MSD wires, and NGK plugs | | Gauges | Auto Meter | | SUSPENSION AND CHASSIS | | Springs | Anthony Jones Engineering (front), QA1 (rear) | | Struts/Shocks | Anthony Jones Engineering (front), QA1 (rear) | | Rear Suspension | Wolfe Race Craft | | Wheels | Bogart | | Tires | Mickey Thompson | | Brakes | Wilwood (front), Aerospace (rear) |
