1988 Ford Mustang GT - Road Raging
A tasteful combination that is clean yet nasty enough to get this 10-second car its own feature in America's favorite Ford book. The suspension for the 3,360-pound street brawler consists of an Unlimited Performance Racing coilover conversion on Lakewood 90/10 struts in the front and HPM Mega-Bite Jrs. in the back. The rear housing holds an Auburn Pro differential with 3.55 gears and 31-spline Moser axles with C-clip eliminators. On the street, Scott uses 275/60/15 BFG drag radials to get the job done, although he has cut a 1.41-second short time with 28x10.5-inch M/Ts at the track. Not bad for what amounts to a stock-suspension car. View Related Article
