A pretty serious electrical drivetrain has been installed in place of the original 5.0-liter engine. In the engine bay are 5 of the 12 batteries used to power the car. The smaller battery in the center is an auxiliary dedicated to all electrical systems (instruments, power windows, door locks, and such). You can also see the Soliton 1 motor controller. Underneath that is the 9-inch DC motor, capable of pushing this car to speeds of 80 miles per hour. View Related Article
