Saleen Performance Vehicles... Saleen Performance Vehicles
Now owned by Global Performance Vehicles, Saleen Performance Vehicles (www.saleen.com) was showing its handsome '11 S302 with optional 14-inch front Baer brakes. Available in coupe or convertible form, the S302 is naturally aspirated and rated at 425 hp and 395 lb ft of torque. The styling follows the clean 2010 treatment, but with a new carbon fiber chin splitter and rear spoiler, plus five-spoke wheels. SLP Mufflers
Loud and louder... SLP Mufflers
Loud and louder might describe SLP's (www.slponline.com) '11 Mustang GT mufflers. Two versions debuted at SEMA, both in stainless steel and with 4-inch polished tips. The more standard PowerFlo axle back retails for $599.95, the Loud Mouth is $439.95. More under the radar was SLP's (www.slponline.com) rear blackout panel for all '11 Mustangs. It's an ABS plastic part that requires no drilling or cutting. It retails at $59.95. Snow Performance
Snow Performance's... Snow Performance
Snow Performance's (www.snowperformance.net) Comp/One Boost Cooler. Especially appropriate for boosted Mustangs, the system offers a large 3-quart reservoir and Snow's Ultra High Output pump. But heart of the system is DiabloSport Trinity flash tuner, which provides tuning for the car's ECM as well as control over the Boost Cooler. It offers an all-in-one solution that should have great appeal for water/meth first-timers. Southeast Carbon Works
Looking... Southeast Carbon Works
Looking sharp was this GT500 engine compartment fully dressed with Southeast Carbonworks trim (www.southeastcarbonworks.com). Their process essentially "paints" a carbon-like pattern (among many, many others and colors) onto any hard, non-porous part. The result is inexpensive faux carbon panels for just about any Mustang piece that can be unbolted from the car. On this car Southeast had treated the radiator shroud, inlet tube, fuse box cover, splitter, many interior panels, the rear valence and more. Samco Sport (www.samcosport.com) silicon hoses in silver and a passel of billet caps and aluminum tanks completes the look. Spec Tuning LED Lip
Those... Spec Tuning LED Lip
Those looking for something a little different might consider Spec-D Tuning's (www.spectuning.com) new front lip for '10 Mustangs. It's unique claim is low-profile LED driving lights--we had to search for them, so they're pretty stealthy--recessed into the lip. Speed Dawg
Besides all the... Speed Dawg
Besides all the Ford-specific gear at the SEMA show, there are plenty of generic parts of interest. Just for fun are Speed Dawg (www.speeddawg.com) shift knobs. They service the usual Ford shifter threads and shift patterns with a fun selection of colors and styles. The heavy knobs aid shift feel and offer a great grip. Most retail for $65. Stainless Showworks
It's... Stainless Showworks
It's always tough to capture shiny parts under convention center lighting, and Stainless Showworks (www.mustangstainless.com) dress-up kit is a good example. Aimed at S197s, the kit includes a brushed stainless radiator cover and hood lifts. It goes by part number 2005-9 bfg and retails for $395. Wavetrac
No fear of the... Wavetrac
No fear of the beefy 9-inch Ford differentials going out of favor any time soon. Wavetrac (www.wavetrac.net) showed this 31-spline 9-inch diff at $995. Built in the U.S., the diff carries that rarest of things, a warranty even when raced. Wiseco
Filling in their... Wiseco
Filling in their line, Wiseco (www.wiseco.com) released its heavy-duty modular piston line. Designed for power-adder Two-, Three-, and Four-Valve mod motors, the pistons feature nitrided, low-friction rings, 2618 alloy construction with strut reinforcement, coatings, a 22mm piston pin and all needed valve pockets. Retail is $1,053.52 per set.
