Like EFI Renegade's Bart Tobener, Tommy Godfrey was also testing some new drag radials on his JPC Racing-sponsored LX coupe, but in Tommy's case it was Nitto's new drag radial offerings. Tommy was able to fix his coupe's habit of shutting off between shifts so he was ready to put the Nittos to the test. Tommy was happy with the tires' performance as he once again qualified in the top spot with an 11.18 at almost 120 mph. Tommy swapped back to his usual BFGoodrich drag radials for the finals against Jay Dold, and he was able to pick up right where he left off with the Nittos with another 11.teen pass at 120 mph to take the win.
