We're doubly glad that Keith's car survived, as he had originally purchased the '82 as a parts car but eventually decided to turn it into his street car. Now, most of us don't have street cars with 393ci Windsors boosted by 106mm turbos, but who wouldn't want to try? That's not to say that Keith drives his Fox Rod to work every day, but he does drive the car to his local dragstrip to participate in True 10.5 races. Occasionally, he even trailers a go-cart with his Fox

Eric Lozowski: '88 Mustang GT 10.11/137.32If Eric Lozowski's '89 GT looks familiar, that's because you might have seen it appear in our '06 King of the Street competition. Having enjoyed his stint there, Eric thought his newly E85 converted GT was a prime contender for our event, and so did we. However, Eric's profession as a paramedic came in handy as he had to resuscitate the car's engine after breaking the cam not once but twice. With the help of PER race engines, Eric got the engine back in the car three days before the event, narrowly make it to Gateway in time.
After all that hard work and money spent without a complaint from his supportive better half, Julie, Eric had hoped to lay down a 9.99 at the E85 Challenge. On his first pass, he was off to a good start with a 10.39 and, after a call to his tuner Mike Post, he managed to whittle his e.t. down to a 10.11. From there, a 9 just wasn't meant to be, as Eric turned into a bracket racer, posting two more 10.11s before the impending rains brought the Challenge to a close.

Steve Dembeski: '89 Mustang LX 10.14/132.97There's just something classic about a clean Fox LX with a classic Trick Flow head/Holley intake/Vortech blower combo, and Steve Dembeski's LX brought a smile to our faces. His car could have been plucked out of any number of 5.0 Shootouts from the Fox heyday, but here it was, running in the modern era on E85.
