The 4th Annual Late Model Mustang Club of CT Car Show featured over 120 Mustangs at Moroso Performance HQ in Guilford, CT
In October the Late Model Mustang Club of Connecticut (www.lmmc-ct.com) held its 4th Annual car show at Moroso Performance headquarters in Guilford, CT. This Northeastern mustang club has 200 members from NJ to Maine, and hosts events throughout the season for its members with an emphasis on giving back to the community whenever possible.
Early rain kept the car count down a bit, gave way to sunshine in the afternoon. In all there were 129 cars at the show, a 30% increase over the year before. The cars were divided into 28 classes for judging including classes for trucks, classics and other ford vehicles. Cars were judged based upon interior, exterior and engine, with each section worth 100 points for 300 points total.
The club tries to include activities at its events so that the day is viewed not just as a car show, but as an event for the entire family to enjoy. This event featured the Woman's Oasis, an area conceived as a place for ladies to enjoy themselves at the event and make it more family oriented.
The event benefited Hot Water Rescue (www.hotwaterrescue.com), an organization that helps misunderstood dog breeds. The show was able to raise $1,000 for the charity, and even found a home for Deuce, the 18 week old APBT puppy who was on hand for the event.
