MSD Ignition Super Street OutlawThe blaring scream of a sinful supercharged engine's exhaust, the silent sneeze of a spooled-up turbocharger wastegate dumping the boost, or the tell-tale purge of a triple-stage nitrous oxide-injected big-block are all sights and sounds of the wildest, most unpredictable class in Mustang and Fox-bodied Ford racing: MSD Ignition Super Street Outlaw. The mandated, barely adequate 28.6x10.6-inch rear slick guarantees side-by-side slippery action from start to stripe. Whether your fancy is a nitrous-breathing 480-cube, 2,600-pound lightweight; 360-cube, turbocharged, 3,000-pound middleweight; a 440-cube, supercharged, 3,150-pound heavyweight; or anything in between, you have it in the 10-inch-Tire Freak Show!
John "The Fireball" UristFew racers are versatile enough to effectively utilize any combination, whether it's nitrous-oxide injection, supercharging, or turbocharging. John conquered the Super Street Outlaw class and lost only two rounds of racing in the '03 racing season with a turbocharged small-block underhood. Similarly, in 2006 he made seven final-round appearances and had five wins, becoming the only racer in NMRA Super Street Outlaw history to repeat as World Champion, this time with a dominating supercharger setup. Good luck to any competitor in the lane next to The Fireball on race day with whatever he decides to hide underhood.
Phil HinesFilthy Phil Hines rose from a mediocre start in the '06 season, to a second place finish in his 420-inch, ProCharger-blown, copper-colored Mustang. Phil got the chassis dialed in by midseason; in fact, he was so confident that he had conquered launching on the 10.5s, he removed the wheelie bars and astounded the field as he laid down repeated passes in the 7.50s.

Ones to Watch* A.J. Powell got things rolling at the close of the '06 season by picking up the National Trails Oscar in his ProCharger-blown Fox-coupe. If his team picks up where they left off, they could win several in 2007.
* Brothers Jarrett and Darron Halfacre have the quickest turbocharged entry in the field and are always top qualifiers. A handful of similar passes will keep "Sponge Bob" in contention.
* Zach Posey is a Top 10 contender at 22 years young. If things heat up, don't look for the kid to back down!
