 Year Mustangs

Every fall we look forward to spending time with our good friends at Year One, attending their great fall auto festival. Previously held at Bristol Motor Speedway, and titled the Bristol Bash, Year One brought its show to the Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia, just a few exits from the company's new Braselton offices. The BMS facility's schedule conflicted with the dates Year One planned for its event, and, with the Atlanta Dragway already having sponsorship by Year One for its test-'n'-tune nights, the folks at Year One decided to bring their event to Commerce and renamed it the Commerce Challenge.

The name may have changed, but the event hasn't. There's still plenty of family fun for all ages with drag racing, vendor midways, seminars, shopping excursions, car displays, and the ever-popular kids play area. We were busy on Friday and most of Saturday tackling our King of the Street competition (read all about it on p. 70) with the help of Randy Bolig, editor of our sister magazine Mopar Muscle, and Josh Bolger, editor of the Mustang Club of America's Mustang Times. These two graciously jumped in to help our one-man band when Associate Editor Johnson had to bail from our trip at the last second due to a family illness. Thanks for the hand, gentleman! We did, however, get to enjoy the Commerce Challenge event the rest of Saturday and all day Sunday. Look for more information on the '05 event shortly.
