I consider myself a relatively knowledgeable Fox Melvin, but I don’t remember ever seeing this RSX Mustang concept back in 1980. Of course, I was only 11 then, so I probably had other things on my mind. This rally-inspired concept car featured a wider track and a shorter wheelbase. It obviously never made production, but some of its Ghia-studio cues did trickle down to the production cars. What really makes the car interesting is that it represents another time when Ford chased the idea of a European Mustang.
